* In charge of City Express, daily pull-out with the paper, leading a team of 10 reporters and coordinating with the desk. Duties included daily planning, scheduling, re-writing stories and giving value-addition for stories

* Attended Reuters Foundation’s course on ‘Writing International News’ in Mumbai (Seven Indian and six US journalists were selected for the five-day course) and was trained under veteran Reuter’s journalist Nicholas Phythian.

* Worked in five different cities including Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Mumbai and traveled across various states in India

* Conducted newspaper workshop for village school students, interactive session with undergraduate students in Social Work on ‘role of mass media in social activism’

* Attended national workshop on peace and conflict resolution organized by Centre for Studies in Society and Secularism in June 2003

* Undertook many socially constructive activities as National Service Scheme secretary in college and attended National Integration Camp held in 2000 at Wayanad district, Kerala

* Carried out academic research on People’s Plan Programme in Kerala as a project work for BA Functional English course
